How to: Renew the application certificate

The certificate used for the application within the Microsoft tenant needs renewal before 21 December 2021. A valid certificate is required to make sure your backup jobs will continue to run. This is why you need to re-authenticate in the management portal to automatically install a new certificate.

Please follow the guide below – the update is easy to complete and only has a few steps:

Go to management portal and go to the customer overview
Click on the re-authenticate feature on the bottom right side
Choose the first option “renew the certificate in the App Registration in your tenant"
Follow the authentication steps with Microsoft

In the process of renewing the certificate, you’ll authenticate with Device Code, ensuring both backup and restore security and performance.

Please note if you do not authenticate before 21 December, your backup jobs will not be able to successfully complete. For any help or assistance please contact your reseller or support.
