This may be useful if you restore a previously removed team at the time when the original team owner account does not exist in Microsoft 365. Feature added: Previously, only basic information was displayed and emailed when a restore was completed. This process has now been significantly enhanced, providing detailed insights including errors, issues, and the quantity of data restored. Additionally, all this information is now sent to the requesting user upon completion of the restore, unless they choose to opt out during the restore request process.
Please note that this feature will only apply to future restores. For restores completed prior to the implementation of this feature, approximately 3 weeks ago, only limited information will be available.

Feature added: To address issues some customers experienced with the previous Teams restore module, we have transitioned Teams restore to the new restore system for all users. This is a much needed major upgrade for Teams restore system that aligns the look and feel to the OneDrive and SharePoint restore modules. Additionally, you can now view Teams posts from a channel directly in the portal without the need to download or restore them first. Viewing, backing up and restoring of Posts requires upgrading the tenant for "Teams Posts Restore" in the management portal.

Feature added: Some customers encounter issues with extended loading times when loading very large SharePoint sites that contain 10.000 or even over 30,000 folders (not files, but folders!). Loading such extensive structures can be time-consuming. To address this concern, a significant enhancement has been implemented, wherein only the libraries and the first level of folders are initially loaded. Users can then selectively load the remaining subfolders individually.

Feature added: For customers with thousands of folders in the folder list of an account (some even having over 10,000 folders in a singleSharePoint site!), the experience of opening and closing the folder tree in such a vast folder list has been frustratingly slow. To address this, the functionality for opening and closing folders has been entirely revamped. Now, folders will open and close instantly, irrespective of the number of folders present. Additionally, the scrollbar's position will remain fixed and won't reset to the top.

This requires the fully qualified domain name of the destination site and the name of the destination Library. In order to ease this process a new select site and library destination menu has been added in addition to still being able to type it manually.

Feature added: It is now possible to restore SharePoint "Libraries" and "Entire sites" to an alternative location within the same tenant. For "Libraries" it is also possible to enter a different library name that will be created before restoring.
Feature added: When browsing a filelist from a OneDrive or SharePoint folder it is now possible to download the selected files as a ZIP file. When multiple files is selected, a folder will be created inside the ZIP file containing the selected files. A download link will then be generated and shared with the restore user. Note: Restoring as a ZIP file will result in a log entry, for audit purposes.

Uses can now restore items from a mailbox with a single click. Each Exchange item has a new "1-click restore" button next to it. Clicking this button will restore the email directly to the original mailbox with no need for authentication or any further action. At the moment only single mail items is supported. When testing is completed, the "1-click restore" will be made available for all items and folders in Exchange, OneDrive and SharePoint making it much easier to restore data.
Note 1: This function will only be available for customers created after July 15th 2022. Customers prior to this date may request a re-authentication with our support in order to make this function available for them.
Note 2: For security reasons, this function will not be made available for "entire" restores.

When restoring SharePoint data a set of new options can now be specified.
For folders and files the options are:
"Restore all or last version of documents"
"Action for the last version of the document" - This option specifies the action that will be performed with the last version of the restored SharePoint document on the destination.
"Restore permissions" (yes/no)
"Restore changed and/or deleted documents" (will only apply to folders)
For entire sites the options, in addition to the above, are:
"Restore list views" (yes/no)
"Restore subsites" (yes/no)
"Restore master pages" (yes/no)

Customers with 20.000+ SharePoint sites must use the filter function in order to search and select a site to restore from. The regular one-by-one letter-filter will not be functional for such customers. For instance a site with the URL https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/My-project10 may use the last part of the URL after the last "/", in this case "My-project10", in order to find it. Alternatively using the first word (or first and second word together) from the title of the site will also find the site.

We no longer support version 2 of the restore portal. The portal has been removed from our website, and only the current version is available. Version 2 was used by early customers with older authentication method (Often refered to as "Basic" and "Modern"). Customers that still uses these authentication methods must update in the management portal before being able to use the restore portal. There is no effect on the ongoing backups that will continue to run every day.

Fixed: In some cases, restoring users with "In-Place archiving" turned on in their Microsoft account resulted in only showing the folders from the achieved data and not the current data. The problem has been resolved and in addition it is now possible to see in the user list if a user has archiving enabled or not. In case the user has "In-Place archiving" activated a new dialogue will ask whether the restore should be from the achieved or current dataset.

Feature added: To address the issue with long waiting times when loading folders from a OneDrive user that have 1000s of folders, we now only load the root/top folders. Next to each folder is a "plus" sign for loading the subfolders for that particular folder. This will significant improve the experience for users with excessive amount of folders.

Feature added: When restoring email with the "Send as email" function it is now only possible to send the restored emails to domains that is found in the backup jobs. For security purposes it is no longer possible to send to any random email addresses. The design for choosing destination email has also been changed from a simple popup to a function where the user selects from the available domain names.

Feature added: Restore details are now more elaborate, including what was restored and what the status of the restore was.
Feature added: New segment has been added showing error messages when restoring to OneDrive, Sharepoint or Teams. Meaning messages from Microsoft is included, and the origin of the error too.
Fixed: NIn some cases details was not shown when restoring an entire SharePoint. (Unfortunately it is not possbile to retrieve error information for Exchange restores but as soon as it is available it will be added.). All the existing restore logs have been updated with this new details also.
